In Reply to: RE: Looking for first hand experience with Synergistic Research Basik interconnect and speaker cable posted by gme109 on May 18, 2012 at 11:47:18
I used them briefly before putting their speaker wires and interconnects on instead. They were much better.
"I then removed my Tesla cables and listened to Synergisticís Basik cables, with and without the Cells. Not more than a few minutes of listening revealed what was perhaps the most surprising discovery of all: the Basiks were so good that they would likely not be mismatched if paired with some of the most expensive and best-performing equipment available. Dynamics, soundstaging, and transient speed were all first-rate. These "giveaway" cables will likely be greatly appreciated, regardless of whether youíve purchased cables yet. In fact, the Basiks might be one of the biggest audio bargains today. While my Teslas offered better performance, the gap between the two might have you questioning the need to spend big bucks on cables at all."
I bought all the chargers-speaker, preamp to amp, and source to preamp. I used the Basiks for a while. I also had many other SR cables. The Basiks are not charged. I grant that I was at the time converted to the benefits of charged cables and still am.
If they toot your horn, go with them.
I plan on giving them a try. I've talked with several people, who consider them the biggest bang for your buck cables in audio. Guess I'll find out when I try them.
