  Oyaide are offering a 25% discount on their online store pricing, making these a reasonable US$200 for a 1.8 metre length, not sure how successful you'll be ordering from outside Japan tho'...

          ....you could have contacted the US importer, Joe Cohen, to find out about availability and your closest dealer. With all the discussion of Oyaide on these forums the last few months, his contact information has been all over this forum and the Tweaks forum for quite some time. I'd be hard-pressed to believe you were unaware of this.

          You are essentially circumventing the legitimate territory of the US importer, as you live in Texas....and your action does not help or nourish his business. He's bearing the cost, time, and effort of bringing Oyaide and Acrolink into this country. In my view, this dishonors his efforts in order to save a few bucks, especially in light of the fact that the Oyaide "store" would not take your order directly....you had to go through "a friend".

          Call me Pollyana, but I don't do business this way.

        The Tunami GPX is priced similarly to the Arcolink 4030.
        I wonder which one is the better.

          Your timing is perfect. I've been doing listening tests on a stock Tunami, and will be taking it in for double-cryo treatment this Friday. I'll then be able to do an apples-to-apples comparo with the P4030 with 046 connectors in 2 weeks. Stay in touch.
