I can think of at least 3 times I've had a dream about my stereo in the last few months. One of them involved a speaker falling over, and in the other I was carrying a speaker somewhere and it fell in mud (and I had to reassemble it). I can't quite remember the third.
Am I the only one who has dreams about stereo equipment? I think I am obsessed!

In my dream I'm selecting a new cartridge.
I guess I have cartridge envy. But since I bought a new cartridge I haven't had that dream.

You guys are having dreams about your gear failing. In my dreams, my preamp comes to the door wearing very little and says that she is there to test my signal strength (wink, wink). I let her in and then ... well, you know.
Last week I was sitting in this big plush chair listening to music through my tube preamp and amp. I was exhausted from being out and about and passed out in the chair leaning on this big cushion. I dreamed I was listening to that same stereo but that the left channel had gone bad and I couldn't figure out what was wrong.
Until I woke up and realized I was laying on the cushion on my left side.

I had a dream about my newly-built S.E.X. amp smoking and starting on fire the night after I powered it up for the first time (mind you, it worked flawlessly on the first try). The jump from building battery-powered circuits to something that runs on 120VAC is nightmare-inducing at first, but now I trust my own stuff (which I very carefully built) more than some of this cheaply-built junk coming from overseas.....
