That is quite the price for a set with stock iron!
Still, it is probably worth the price to get a suitable platform on which to build the SR45 amp...

The Shunt Reg 45 kit was a kit that was out some time ago that converted the later model Paramours to run 45's fully shunt regulated with a 6CM7 as a driver/reg tube. Although the kit is no longer available, I have made a few custom boards that mount right over the power transformer and accomodate all the pieces to convert the amplifier. All you need beyong the boards/Paramours would be some nicer iron (TFA-204's, or TFA-2004's and appropriate plate chokes, or even Paramount upgrade iron).
