Hi BakaIt took a very long time for the original WB drivers to sound useable.....many many hours of breaking, & sound was very nasal. I was dreading the break-in period for the new drivers.
After I mounted new drivers in the baffle, I was surprised straight away that they sounded great. They are like different speakers & sound much fuller, warmer & not nasal at all. After 2 days playing now, they have started to loosen & open up. More detail is starting to come through. Efficiency is identical. I think they will be winners! Very pleased!
Cheers
Vic

something new, with the progres ?
share to us what hapenes afther 1 month ?
Hi,
the felt- pads inside the basket are damping back- reflections from the basket to the cone. The number and placement of the pads is important - a few more or positioned wrong and there is a noteable loss of details (over- damped).
There is some feedback on the Chrystal drivers in the Art of Sound forum and in the Norwegian Hifisentralen forum. Reading the online- translation is very funny but better to understand than many translated manuals of Chinese products - the meaning of the comments is clear.
Regards,
Robert Bastani
