Yes,I have enough space.
Thanks

Follow Ups:
just a thought : you might want to explore those "oil cans" from GE, ASC, Mallory, etc... much cheaper than the Mundorf. their 370VAC oil cans should suffice.
caution : if you're using valve rectifier, be conservative on your first cap. load the additional capacitance AFTER the choke (final cap) just before B+ goes to the OPT
enjoy the weekend.
Hi all,
I will replace fallowing caps on PSU,
220uf450V electrolytic------> 220uF700V ClarityCap TC Range polypropylene
100uF450V electrolytic------> 100uF550V Mundorf TubeCap polypropylene
10uF160V electrolytıc-------> 10uF700V ClarityCap TC Range polypropylene
Any advice ?
Thanks
Gokhan
Check space available before ordering.
For cap after rectififer,: use a single Clarity film cap any where from 10uf to 33uf
The main B+ cap: use a single 100uf or two 45uf Clarity film caps in parrallel
Use 33uf or 45uf film caps for each RC filters feeding the 6sn7 and 5687 stage
The 10uf 160v cap on the PS does nothing to the sound. Dont bother with it.
One word of advice, you are looking at fitting 6-7 caps underneath the chassis in non-optimal positions with all the messy wiring.... I would not do it.
If you are a real fiddler, you could try to different 300b filament heating methods. Many has agreed on various forums that this is one area a 300b amplifier can be improved the most. Do some research.
Dear Vincen,
What does it mean ''caps underneath the chassis in NON OPTIMAL positions with all the messy wiring''
Thanks
Gokhan
The caps he mentioned are all much larger, physically, than the originals, and won't fit on the circuit boards. These larger caps get mounted away from the original location, and have extra wires connecting them up to the circuit boards.
Hence the comment.
