I have the Conquest Parallel 300B with an Audio Note UK M3 pre and into Zingali Horns. I love it. With my speakers it doesn't sound lacking in power of bass, nor does it run out of juice at very loud levels. My Zingalis are 91 db and 2 way plus tube friendly, so might help. I also run a REL sub for duties below 70Hz, and it integrates really well, making rock and dance music very dynamic and with wide bandwidth.
The Conquest Silvers are crazy money, double the price tag, so they should sound very good. I reckon Brian's C-Cores are every bit as good as AN UK's Hi-B types, and are a bit cheaper.
BYW am loving my ANK DAC 3.1 kit. I fitted V-Caps at the output stage, and it sounds really good, very detailed and clean, no edge. A Bendix inthe M2 powers supply position helpss as well.

Hi Astrostar59. I finished my 4.1LE build last week and have been breaking the unit in steadily. What model of V-Caps did you use: TfTF or CuTF?
Hi jbrrp1
I used TfTF (teflon caps, not the Copper and teflons (newer types).
I went for those, as I had already used them in my AN UK Conquest MBs to good results, and my old DAC 1.1 kit as well. The difference post fitting (and running in) was better dynamics, more clean detail, stronger bass and generally more hooked into the source.
I always felt the AN Copper Caps created a warm viel over the sound, which might work for some.
If you have clean source components and evenly balance (not bright) speakers of headphones, you will love the sound.
I went with the CuTF, because an audio buddy used them in some 45 amps and loved them. After ~180 hours of break in I switched in the Bendix 6X5 for the stock supplied tube, and that was an important improvement. The 4.1 is now sounding pretty close to what I am seeking. It is still a bit thicker and slower in the mids than I am hoping for, but I am riding with the stock 5687's for now. I have three different types to swap for flavor matching, and I am counting on that, plus more break in, to make it all work out right.
I heard the Conquest also on the AN-E SEC speakers. It was not bad. I mean compared to the Legend Conquest SS it lacked speed, control and some excitement. It is just a relative thing.
