hi, i use my Dac 3.1 with a passive LDR preamp and a low gain single ended triode , how can i increase the gain of my dac , actually 2V output. can i change the transformer ouptut 33:1 with a 10:1 to have more gain ?
thanks

You can also change the value on the I/V resistors so the output increases. On R34 and R35 on the digital board you have resistors that can change the output.
I myself have decreased the output (sounds better I think)
1.5VRMS 200R
2.0VRMS 300R
2.5VRMS 390R
3.0VRMS 560R
3.5VRMS 750RIf your are using I/V transformers the resistors on the analog board also needs replacement.
If it is possible to change the OPT to 1:10 ratio the output impedance will decrease and matching could be an issue.

When you change the I/V resistor for more output you have also more distortion above 330 ohm i find it to much for my ears
between 270ohm and 330 is a good value for me to low made the sound lifeless.

i will try increasing the plate voltage of the first section off the 5687 from 100V to 140V to increase the voltage swing.. and not touch the Dac ouptut level..
hello Juanitox
see the posts here below
now you use the orange and yello wire on the opt's
use the orange and the bleu and you get double gain (4 volt out)
i hope you report back how the sound is between the two options.
unfortunatly, i have the singe ended output transfo so no choice off output wires for me...
