YESSS and it works!
Exactly as Nelson claims. Just like ALL of his designs /gear
And for 40$ for the base 'Kit' one of the True Bargains in Audio Weenie Land
Naysayers are talking through their hats.. period!

That's great to hear. I'm at the experimental I just want to play with my solder iron stage. Not the I want to buy more stuff stage.
I would like to try it on some of my amps. I like the sound of my stepped attenuator passive but their clearly is an impedance problem.
What setup are you using it on?
Did it replace a preamp?
Yes it replaced a Pre amp a George Wright triode affair that I've owned and loved since mid 90s.
It wouldn't work (sounded Bloody Awfull tbh) with my New Firstwatt amp Not that it wasn't good.. it simply wasn't Good Enough for the Firstwatt's resolution.
Fitted a Stepped attenuator and a B1 and I've never heard Better.. Period.
This after 45 years of Dicking with Audio and too many gear types..including some serious besopke SE tube types.
B1 is a very simple circuit design belying it's sophistication.. in typical Pass fashion.
It works.. period.
Wayyy Too much posturing and wild claims in this 'hobby'.
Then there are those who just LOVE buying the Newest Gear of the Week AND telling everybody about it.. year after year.
That! is Annoying IMO
Genuinely difficult to separate drivel from the truth..
Blow the 40$ B1 kit cost (and similar $ for the bits to populate it)
It's a dead simple/fun build (again: a Pass signature)
You will Not be dissapointed.
