Just found out that Ed Meitner is building amps again, very keen on them back in the day but out of reach, even more so now. Anyone here lucky enough to hear them, offer opinions?
Cheers

I have heard them on a number of occasions but Ed is a friend of mine so I am completely biased. Having said that, they are wonderful. They are either 1500 watt mono blocks or 800 but they will drive anything. The sound to my ear was amazing, the best I have ever heard in a system. They are rock solid, with no distortion. Not overly analytical but capture every dynamic in the music. If my wife would not kill me, they would be sitting in my living room (they may show up accidentally one day). Ed says they use a different topology than any other amp, and he has been working on them for years. They are expensive but brilliant examples of what you can do.
...the set of MTR-101s I had at one time.
Got to meet Ed once. Nice fellow.
Dean.
reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
