$1699 is not inexpensive for me! I was commenting on the many small amps they make for headphones but only Ragnarok for speakers. It would be great if they make small 'inexpensive' amps for speakers for around $500.

When you consider what you get for 1699.00, it's a true bargain.
You get a 100 watt/channel integrated amp. You also get a headphone amp. You also can use it as a stand alone preamp.
At 500.00, I think you are pining for the 70s.

Don't worry about avoiding temptation. As you grow older, it will avoid you.

There are already many smallish integrated amps available for $500 or less. Take a look at, for example, models from NAD, Teac, Audioengine, Cambridge, and Pro-Ject.

Thanks for the information. My interest in Schiit is because it is made in the USA. Dont know if some of the individual parts are made in China though.

Schiit seems to just be entering the 2-channel market with the release of two new tube preamps and--at some point this year--a stereo power amp. My guess is they'll get to a more bargain-priced integrated at some point soon.
