There were popular DIY 5687 based preamps 12-15 years ago (gave 5687's to some builders), but I'm coming up blank on the name of the designer.

The Audio Note M3 and Audio Note Kits L3 pre-amps both use 5687 tubes. One for each channel.

Then that would have to be in the output stage.
The only ones I have experience with are the Audio Note (UK) M3 and M5.
