Antique Sound Labs MG S1 15DT, 5 watt per channel in triode, integrated tube amplifier. I prefer this to the Wave 8s. Very refined, very low noise floor, enormous soundstage, sweet and accurate. True tube goodness for a song. Can be had new for about $700 and used for $500 or less. No preamp needed. This amp has driven 89 db efficient Axiom M3Tis with no problem, but loves to drive 93 db efficient speakers. I think a near perfect match for this amp would be the BC Acoustique Tibres, Axiom M60s, or if you can find a pair of Michaura speakers, their M55s with a sub are wonderful, the M66s are much more wonderful. The M665s are just about impossible to find.I recommend the MG S1 15DT without reservation!
PS. I'm a consumer, not a seller, manufacturer, dealer or in any other way associated with the sound industry.
