...are you driving, have you owned other ASL amps, what amps preceded the Cadenzas, etc. The Cadenzas are somewhat rare for their output stage--2 845s in push/pull--so I imagine many of us Inmates are curious.Did you read what Harry pearson wrote about them in the Jan. issue of 'The Absolute Sound'?
BTW I sure do love my ASL AQ10065(845)s.

...as it is up to date, more so than the photos are. I think one of the photos shows the previous amp I used, the Ayre V5xe, which I bought new and sold for quite a loss on Audiogon. My Vandersteen 5a's sound better with tube amps, and the Cadenzas sound better than the single ended 845 SET that ASL had been making, in direct comparison in my system. My Cadenzas have worked perfectly for a year in this system.I did read what HP said. They do it for me and the system is very revealing. Oyaide XXX outlets made a huge difference in the sound.
Improved the amps at all? As good as apparently they sound stock, they'd sound probably fabulous with better PS and coupling caps.

...we have spoken before about mods for these amps. Other than different input jacks I have not changed anything so far. I have spoken with Sonicraft about mods. I will probably try changing the bypass caps first. First I need to buy a stand for my new turntable.
...there are no bypass caps is it that I can see on the schematic.Talking to J-Glo makes sense.
If it were mine, I'd replace the main-PS caps first, and that's what I'm doing with my AQ1006(845)s.
