Having had my SE PLC in my main system for about 8 months now, I can say with confidence that while this passive preamp is not perfect, it sure "gets the grooves" right!I too have found that music that was "craptastic" before is now revealed with humanity reinstated. This unit has brought more smiles to my face and more sore toes from tapping than any other in recent memory.
Again, it is not a perfect preamp and sometimes I can hear that the soundstage depth is a bit shallower on well recorded discs but this in no way takes away from the bass impact and the rhythmic drive this puppy has in spades!
Cheers,

Kenster,
- you are more right than you think!I once had a conversation with the beloved Bob Crump(RIP), he told me...in his opinion, after hearing the Sonic Euphoria PLC at his friends house(currently owning a blowtorch), it beat out the CTC Blowtorch in terms of bass impact and pace.
Quite a feat wouldn't you say?
Bob also went on to say (to me)over all he felt the blowtoch was better but went on to say he didn't know how/why the manufacture was offering it "so cheap" relative to current preamps in the market place based on what it was achieving comparatively speaking.
Needless to say, I order one myself, sold off my high $ tube unit, and the rest is history!
Good orignal post DeeCee!bill2
............ :-)
The PLC when combined with my Pass Labs Aleph 3 remind's me of my SET 300B tube amp with WE 300B's.If THAT is not a compliment, I don't know what is!!!
It just gets the notes right...not to mention the timing of those notes :-)
Cheers,
