I lost $2000. In your search for IKEDA cartridges, you may find the website samurai-international.com, operated by one who calls himself Motohiko Tanzawa.

In April 2008, Mr. Tanzawa offered to procure for me a new Ikeda REX phono cartidge for the Yen equivalent of about $2000. I wired him the funds. At first I got excuses, then lame tales of his being disabled in an auto accident involving a Korean garbage truck.

When one year had elapsed not only had no cartridge arrived, but Motohiko Tanzawa failed to respond to my request for a refund, sent via both fax and email.

Based upon my experience, it may not be prudent for others to send him advance payments.
