I have a rega p3 that I currently use with a bellari vp129 preamp, but due to the fact that the rega's tonearm does not ground to the phonostage I get bad "thumps" pushed through my amplifier when I turn the table on and off. I presently use the mute button on the bellari, but this is a bit of a hassle. Also I previously used a nad pp2 to good success, so I think it's not wiring or an amplifier issue, just a need for a new preamp.
So what is a good ~$3-400 phonostage that would mate well with rega tables? Any ideas? Also fwiw I use a denon dl160 ho/mc cart... Thanks

It is table not arm. - Stale 10:30:10 04/5/08 ( 0)
