I would get a pair of Jensen JT-346 or JT-347 transformers. They can easily compete with the very best. I have step up transformers from Kiseki, Audio Note Japan / Kondo, Koetsu and upper model Denon. My JT-346 is one of the best and most neutral devices I´ve heard. I can imagine this a wonderful combination since they won´t push the overly warm sound of the e.a.r. even further in this direction. At around 600$/pair they also fit to the 834p from a price point.
