Aman,

You're review of the cornet2 was one detailed review done well.
However, I'm interested to know from fellow members if cornet2 will trounce my existing AES Ph-1. The PH-1 IMHO is not a slouch by all means. Mainly interested to know if any of the kit units I mentioned on my original post would be an improvement with regards to S/N (background hiss, hum) and sonics when compared to the PH-1. It would be great to hear from AES PH-1 owners that also had to upgrade with one of latter kits.
So far I've got reponses of considering other kits without any mention of comparison with the AES PH-1. But nonetheless I'm greatful to all who responded with their views with great deal of consideration.

My main concern rigth now is to build a 2nd tube phono kit that will
match my existing system in terms of gain. Some audio enthusiast can live with this as they can just increase the volume and be fine with it.

I have been living with that for 3 years and its tolerable. BUT I believe in system matching. I do have a choice replacing the cartridge to a 6.5 mv one. I chose not to take that route. I would rather build another phono stage that will at least have higher gain to match my cartridge and hopefully better the PH-1 in sonics.

TERCEL seem to be a contender in terms of build quality & specs but haven't read enough reports about it.

K&K Audio is another to consider due of its reputation in the
industry and good reviews from a lot of users. Build quality seem to be very good also.

Cornet2 is heavily considered at the moment - mainly build quality ,
design spec, and a lot of fellow members being happy with it.
Professional look is a plus when opted with the customize black anodize enclosure.

Bottlehead - not considered as I'm not about to do another poin-to-point wiring.(Learned this art since 12 yrs old)

DIY Hi-Fi - cannot consider as I honestly haven't read or heard much about this company.

Really would like to hear experience comparisons...

Thanks a lot for your feedback. Who knows I may just the jump bandwagon a build me a Cornet2 and find out. Or a Tercel... :^))
