I agree with Vinyll. The few I have were purchased new 'way back when I was in high school. They sounded terrible on the inexpensive equipment of the day, but as I have upgraded over the years I have come to appreciate the warmth of their sound - a warmth that sounded muffled or constrained on lesser equipment.
