I bought a Sumiko Blackbird for my MMF7 and I love it. However, I need to keep the counterweight too far back on the tomearm stalk to play albums with the dustcover down. I guess the Sumiko is heavier by quite a bit than the old Goldring. In addition, I would rather have it further up the stalk so its tighter and does not move as easily. I have verified the weight with a shure gage at 2 grams exactly. It needs to be heavier so i can screw it on further. Any suggestions? BTW I will be doing my review of the blackbird after it breaks in. But so far it blows the goldring away, and not by just a little bit either. Thanks,
Taz

There is a heavier Counterweight available... - rebop 06:34:03 02/21/04 ( 0)
I find the performance of the MMF 7 to be far better with the dust cover completely removed while in use. <nt> - Dan_ed 05:30:06 02/21/04 ( 0)
