Basis Vector tonearm replaces Graham 2.2

I own a Basis Vector tonearm for four weeks now. It substituted the Graham 2.2. In comparison the Vector has thunderous, dynamic bass, without taking over the room. Stand up bass has a real life shape well difined and with lots of details WITHIN the soundstage. lp's that had big, undefined bass now have deep, dynamic, DEFINED bass, and this is without refining the counterweight system by using the extra tuning weightwhich allow you to fine tune the effective mass to really match your cartridge's needs.
Also there is more soundstage depth, better focus and layering and more transparency. Try Harry Conninck's Blue Light-Red Light and hear how the horn section stands clearly defined, horn by horn, 8 feet behind Connick. Hear how dynamic these horns sound WITHOUT a touch of grain. Mids and highs remain 'plushy' ar all times. Tonal balance is so much more real with the Vector in comparison with the Graham (even with the 2.2 version).
Details around female vocals were also simply remarkable as well.
Patricia Barber's voice gets a new dimension because of this.

Another thing I liked was the set up ease. There are no read out scales or turning knobs that you can use during playing, but I never missed them. Set up is straightforward and take that from a guy who is not very experienced with tone arm setup.

I have no idea about compatability with other turntable brands (Basis can tell you for sure) but for Basis owners this tonearm is an absolute NO BRAINER ! In my opinion the Graham 2.2 is a terribly overpriced tonearm after hearing the Vector.
