Well. I have a VPI Nomad 1 with GoldRing 1012 mm phono cartridge. Plugged into Aux in my Musical Fidelity A 3.2 integrated amp. Friend has the Nomad 2 with defeatable internal mm phono stage. We put the GoldRing 1012 mm cartridge on his turntable, disabled the internal phono stage an plugged into my MF integrated mm phono stage. We both preferred the internal phono stage of the Nomad compared to internal one in my integrated amp. I am going to use the one in my table. I would say that the internal phono stage in the Nomad is comparable to a $500.00 phono stage. Ger.
