Thanks Ed! You were the one I was trying to think of that had the Windfeld ti. I knew you liked it and I also agree with you about not using components to intentionally alter the system sound... but having said that, I want it to be "musical". Haha...!! Believe it or not, my Shelter 9000 does a very good job but because it is getting long in the tooth on play hours, I'm looking to see what the "next rung" up possibilities are.

As you can see, I'm looking in that $5K range +/-. I've read good things about the XV-1s and ART-1000... but I've not knowingly heard them. I heard a bunch of systems at AXPONA this year but mostly did not pay attention to the cartridges being used, except in the Van den Hul room. $12K is a bit out of my price range. ;-)
