I have both a Target 2-tier turntable shelf and a Solid Steel, both mounted on the same wall, directly into the studs.

I first used the Target in my old condo, with a Linn LP-12 and a Marantz TT-15. I don't really think it had the strength to support both tables well, though it seems to do fine now holding an RP-10 on one shelf and a phono stage on the other.

The SolidSteel now is supporting a VPI Classic Signature (which is fairly heavy) with no problem. Other than using some wood shims to level the mount and deal with a bit of deflection, it works great. My rig is situated in a 2nd floor bedroom with wood floors.

I can stomp pretty hard with my feet while the VPI is playing and the table is unaffected. I'm not sure you'd get the same amount of strength or level of isolation out of the single-shelf Target. If budget is a concern, I think the Target mounted directly into the studs would work well with a low-medium mass table.
