Maybe something is interfering with the tonearm free movement beyond track 1, either internal wiring or something else (bad tonearm bearing, bad antiskating adjustment, etc).I would first lower the VTF to the recommended 1.25 and verify the problem still occurs. Then look for some reason why the tonearm is not moving freely past the middle of the second track.
I have an old Audio-Technica 'safety raiser' that lifts the tonearm at the end of the record. If I forget to push it back down to reset it, it will cause a similar problem when the arm bumps into it sometime during the last track.

Asothers have said, it's likely some restiction of the tone arm movement. - Opus 33 1/3 10:56:26 03/18/18 ( 0)
