Ruby Tuesday was the first 45 and first record I bought. Let's Spend the Night Together was on the flip side. All 45's are long gone.

My first ever LP purchased happened at Sam the Record Man in Toronto when I was a 13 year old kid visiting from a small city. I remember spending about 3 hours looking at the albums in that store. When it came down to an actual purchase, I concentrated on the new releases section. It was down to two. There was a new Beatles album out -Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. That one just seemed a little too risky for me so I chose Paul Revere and the Raider's Greatest Hits. I've been making the right picks ever since.

Btw, I picked up a mint used Paul Revere Greatest Hits album recently just for nostalgia. It sounds just as bad now as it did back then.
