My modified (no neoprene damping and 1 1/2" maple shelves) TNT Flexi-rack has been stable for nearly 20 years. Even when it was 48" tall. The shelf holes are a tight 11/16" and fender washers are used.

The design is easily adaptable to any width. The OPs 24"x20" need could be the upper, center shelf whose 4- 5/8" (or better) threaded rods would descend down through 2, 3, or 4- 72"x20" shelves that would hold anything the Complete Audio Filbert could acquire.

I still prefer wall mounting for the turntable which is why, for the past ten+ years, the rack has been just 36" tall.
