All kidding aside, your brain must be wired differently than mine. When I reverse polarity to both channels simultaneously, I can't detect any difference. I've tried this with both headphones and speakers and with a variety of different music. I am just not sensitive to the difference. I don't doubt that you can actually hear a difference.
Along the same lines, I don't hear much difference when I roll power cords, speaker cords or tubes either.
