Thanks for the replies so far.

The subs are forward-firing sealed units. They're normally supplied with spikes already fitted - but these were bought by me used and the original owner ordered them with "felt pads" as feet so that they could be slid under some furniture.

I don't know how they would get the concrete floor moving as the room is 23'x14' and the concrete presumably extends throughout the entire downstairs of the house?
