I don't usually test 5AR4's. It seems that either work or they don't. I don't ever recall seeing a weak one.
The usual failure mode is internal arcing, causing fuse to blow. If it's not doing that, it's probably OK. If it is doing that, a tube tester probably wont catch it anyway, because a tester applies a much lower voltage than most actual circuits.
