The Quicksilver amps sum both bias current (evidenced by the single bias pot), so 100ma is 50ma per tube, which is right around where you wanna be (unfortunately with single bias pot, you are somewhat forced to using matched tubes).

I have had a number of quickies, and I like them, I cloned a 8417 amp and modified the circuit for Tung Sol KT120s. I like these monoblocks more than my Audio Research D-76A...now up for sale...

The only thing I can fault Quicksilver was a couple things, like 390uf right after an expensive 5AR4 rectifier? No more than 40uf can be used without eventually arcing/destroying the tube, and underrated coupling caps (400V?), but they are very simple designs and sound great. I preferred to just sell mine and build beautiful clones out of good iron and SS rectifier (with even more PS capacitance)
