Hello Tube Audio Enthusiasts,

I am getting ready to purchase a nice tube amp to power my Altec 846a Valencias. Most of the listening I do is analog but digital does creep in. I am looking for 8-10 watts of nice tube power and these two amps the KA101 Pro 15ohm or the Coincident Dynamo II seem to be very good. Has anyone out there heard either with a Altec set up and how much the 16ohm speakers will make a difference. Customer support seems great from both companies, so at least the inquiry will be more about the audio than bad experiences. The rest of my system is as follows and I listen to Jazz, Classical and Rock.

Source:
Technics SL1000/Audio Technica AT1010/Denon 103r/Valabs LCR
Lenco PTP4/Jelco SA750LB/Audio Technica AT20SS/Musical Surroundings Phonomena

Digital: Parasound zDac

Pre: Tortuga LDR (Passive)

Speakers: Altec 846A

Thanks,

Tim
