I do have the Genelex 12ax7s in the Cayin amp now but haven't done any direct comparison of them with anything else. The amp sounds so good I'm not tempted to start experimenting for now. Jim's web site isn't the easiest to navigate but send him an email with your questions. When I was buying the 12au7s and a quad of KT-77s for the Cayin he went out of his way to research the amp's specs and give me the suggested bias point for the KT-77s. Great guy, very knowledgeable, tests and matches every tube and his prices are very fair.
