Gents,

I have a circuit for tube compressor/pre-amp I want to build , but I need it to power a RODE NT1 Capacitor mic using 48v phantom power.

Would the 48v supply need to be smooth or will a simple rectified supply do ? Does anyone have a preamp schematic with phantom powering they could send to me by e-mail ?

Does anyone have any experience building DIY tube compressors. I'd really like to add one to my home studio set up for use with vocals and guitar

TIA
Pete
