My guess is that upgrading to a new one may be the best move. I had an older M&K circa 2000 that worked fine and a year ago replaced it with a Hsu. Tremendous improvement. Like many of our components, advancements and improvements over 20+ year-old gear is a natural evolution. In addition to Hsu, Rhythmic or a current SVS may be good options.
