You will read impressions from several people who have heard them at various shows and such.
In my reading of the impressions I'm not sure that the bang for the buck(s) ($32K) would be commensurate with sound they produce. A DIY effort could make me happy with the > $25K that I would save. But your friend is the ultimate person to decide.
I've been a line array DIY'er since I first heard the Pipedreams more than 20 years ago. I wrote my Near Field Line Array White Paper from my study of the Pipedreams and other references. See:
