Open baffle 2 way built around the Zenith 49CZ852 drivers (as promoted by Glow in the Dark Audio).
The Goldwood GT-25 tweeter is inexpensive (cheap). Go crazy, buy 6 and you can experiment with one front firing on the baffle, one or two firing up on a shelf at the top of the baffle.
Run the Zenith full range, use your favorite 2.2 mfd cap for the tweeters (one for each tweeter)
I did NOT mount my Zenith driver as high as shown on GITDA, I followed the original designer's instructions and mounted it lower.
Perhaps the reason I have never put these in my "main" system is to protect my world view :)
I you need to spend more replace the Zenith with a clean pair of 12" field coil full range drivers.
