I've always wanted a pair but "settled" for a pair of Jim Rogers' JR 149's. A lot less money for a speaker that many, who have heard both it and the LS3's claim are fairly close in sound to each other. I use the 16 ohm taps on my McIntosh MC225 to drive them and they sound fantastic.
As for speakers that I won't let go of, my AR3's and Allison One's would fall into that category.
