I've seen your comments on the KEF LS50. A year ago I switched to the KEF LS50 Meta, latest version. I mention this because based on the characteristics you seek, I will suggest what I previously owned, the Vienna Acoustics Haydn Grand. I can confirm that they are more mellow than my KEFs and on their own go lower (rated at 42 Hz -3Db) with a rather "big" sound.

Having said that, they do need some power to truly sing. I've never used less than 100 WPC. The only other caveat is they are somewhat fussy to setup. You need to experiment with toe-in and distancing from the sweet spot, but once you have them dialed in, the imaging and soundstaging are excellent. Of course, cabling is another factor. In my case, I also used a sub which enhanced the imaging and soundstage depth.
