Been utilizing hemp-reconed Celestions in Hafler front-channel configuration since 2006, courtesy San Rafael's A Brown Soun. Mesa/Celestion MC-90s in particular this last decade, paired with Dynaudio D28-AF tweets. Outstanding for music-n-home theatre presentation! Had used hemp-reconed Mesa V-30s prior, but their mid-peak was exacerbated by Carver Class H magnetic field amplification. MC-90s reveal your amp's sonic signature, like a good pair of vintage EV's or Utahs. Whereas V-30s have that robust Celestion-centric midrange response, which complements lower powered amplification. Jensen's hemp-coned Jet Falcons are a cost-effective route towards vintage Jensen tonality. Their 10" units are surprisingly similar to current P10-RI's. Well, Mesa's anyhoo. BTW, late A Brown Soun owner John Harrison, who treated a retired printer like rock royalty, demonstrated his hemp cone home theatre speakers with Pioneer SX-5590 receiver. And aclearspot, hemp cone highs are smooth-n-spectacular (;{) 73s para Sactown
