Well I kinda thought I'd get this kind of reaction. It's cool. I don't know how long it's been since folks here have actually heard a working pair of AR2's, or if the folks commenting are even fans of the AR sound, but the sound I'm getting from them does not match the description that I'm reading here. Bottom line is they sound great.

This is an interesting read from years ago on this forum, that in part touts the synergy between the AR2 tweeters and Micro Acoustic external tweeter array that I'm using.

As for caps, say what you will but oil caps are known for their longevity, and non failure. They don't drift much. So if they're working, they're good, until they're not. Plus, the speakers are sealed and getting into them is not something that I want to mess with. Early KLH Model Six's had 'em.

Anyway, I'm enjoying them as a nice change from my other speakers.
