It might be worthwhile to pull a woofer so you can see the crossover board, and maybe pull that out so you can see the side with the foil traces. With almost all crossovers, there is a common trace for the negative connections to the drivers. The attached pic is a Spica TC-50 crossover that I modified. Before the mod, the trace that the blue wires connect to was one continuous trace, to which both tweeter and woofer negative sides connected. (I broke the trace into two parts to enable bi-wiring.)
Yes, I know the schematic I posted is more complicated, as it comes from an internally tri-amped version of the 700 series. But it's probably maybe kinda a safe bet that Braun was consistent with wire colors.
