It's been noted that the mid-90s KEF Reference 107/2s remain excellent speakers, but that the tweeter is showing its age. Can anyone recommend a replacement, preferably a drop-in replacement that requires no structural modification?
An alternate that's occurred to me is to replace the HF/MF modules with LS50s, but those modules use XLR connectors. I could cut the ends off XLR cables and mount spades on two of the wires, but I don't know which two wires to use or what to do with the third wire.
