I've got a pair of Snell Type D. One of them developed a woofer buzz while I was "away" for a couple years - probably the result of someone attempting to use my system and turning the volume up before figuring out how to select a source.

Snell says they no longer have the original driver, but something close to it, for $100. I'm scared. While the buzz is annoying, I'm worried that the new driver will screw up the sound. I would of course replace left and right at the same time.

Does anyone repair individual drivers? I haven't tried pulling the driver to see what's up yet...
