I have been resurrecting my ATM 1A's, early S/N's in the 300's. I bought these in 1974 used. They have been in the basement for 9 years after the foam surrounds rotted out for the second time. I Replaced them with Paradigm Studio 100's in 1999. I replaced the foam and the passive radiators this week. The smaller inductors broke off the xover boards and the terminal board on one unit broke off as well. I am in the process of adding a new terminal board and glueing the compnents back to the crossover board. I also replaced the LPADS with new units.

Could you send me a better copy of the original crossover schematic? I am confused on the location of the 75 uf and 44 uf caps and want to understand the filter better. I believe it is an 18db per octave slope so I assume that it is a 3rd order Butterworth filter. If this is the case I believe that the 75 uf and 44 uf caps may be switched in my crossovers.

Based on a software program the values look right but not in the proper location for the caps. I don't know about the inductor values?

Assuming the following :
Crossover Frequency : 650 Hz
Resistance for Highpass Section : 6.5 Ohm
Resistance for Lowpass Section : 8 Ohm

Tweeter- High Pass Section
C1= 25.11 uF
L1= 1.19 mH
C2= 75.34 uF
Woofer - Low Pass Section
L2= 2.94 mH
C3= 40.81 uF
L3= 0.98 mH

Sum at Fc= 0 dB
Tweeter Polarity= Either
(Reversed is Preferred)
