I echo everything positive that has been previously posted to this LS3/5a review thread. And although I've tinkered with several amps, preamps, tuners, DACs, etc., during the past 30 years, I've been the proud owner since 1979 of a single pair of coveted Chartwell (15 ohm) LS3/5a speakers, finished in Walnut. It has been my primary speaker for the past 25+ years -- see this inmate's system configuration:

Specifically referencing the obvious limitations of the LS3/5a, including dynamic limitations, compressesion due to low efficiency, a crossover that is an energy sponge, etc. Please add a quality, matched subwoofer system, such as a Rogers AB1 or Sutterberg MW-2, whereby a listener can come very close to accurately reproducing a piano (or any other instrument) which has dynamic spikes that are absolutely enormous. Try it and thou shall be surprised and elated!
