I have a Paypal Invoice issue that hopefully someone can help me with. I bought an item from USAudioMart and received an invoice from Paypal from the seller. The invoice for some odd reason did not list my mailing address, but I used a credit card to purchase the item through Paypal using the invoice. I contacted Paypal today to see if they would send the missing information (mailing address) to the seller. They told me to either 1) contact the seller and provide my mailing address or 2) request a refund from the seller and then have the seller redo the invoice. This is some additional correspondence with Paypal regarding this issue that does not give me a warm feeling.

Hi Ian, thank you for reaching PayPal.
I am sorry to hear that, well this is my advice. please ask the merchant to issue the refund, and resend the payment to the merchant again as goods and service.
the reason that the shipping address is not showing on the merchant's end, it is because, the Payment was sent as goods only, it should be sent as goods and service. sending as goods serves as a service only that doesn't require shipping address.

Or if you don't want to issue a refund, you may give your address directly to the seller/merchant, however I will be honest with you. this kind of transaction since your address is not showing up on the transaction that will not be eligible for PayPal's Buyer Protection.

Hello, how would I know that the invoice is for goods only and not for gods and services? I do not see anything in the invoice that indicates that it is for goods only. Do you advise that I request a refund now? Thank you.

Actually, tell the merchant to create the invoice and set to as goods and service, the merchant can do that on their end, as well as, you may also send the money directly to the merchant's email address.
and yes I advise that request to the merchant to issue a refund, and ask him to create a new invoice and set it to Goods and Service type. Or tell him you will send the money to him and send it to this PayPal account using his email and send it as goods and service.

Has anyone encountered this type of situation with Paypal? I am beginning to feel like the seller may have found a loophole in the Paypal system?
