Is the laser printer also on the strip or just on the same wall outlet?
If it is on the strip, take it off and go to the wall with it and see if you get the same drop...Lasers do draw a lot (one of the reasonings most UPS manufacturers tell you not to plug one into an "average" office sized UPS).
Or if possible, put one or the other on a different circuit/branch.
