I am not qualified to comment on the La Scalas. You might checkout the forum at Klipsch.com. Many people contribute to that forum that are experienced with the capabilities of the La Scala.
I can only report that the ATM-300B/Klipschorn/ALK crossover combination gives me clean bass without strain that I desire. Three sources that I use to enjoy the bass capabilities are: 1. Erich Kunzel & Cincinnati Pop's Orchestra Perform Music of the Beatles (Telarc SACD-60540) 2. Super Bass 2 with Ray Brown, John Clayton, Christian McBride (Telarc SACD-63483) 3. Switched-On Bach Moog Synthesizer ( LP Columbia MS7194 ).
I hope that you have the opportunity to audition the ATM-300B in your home with your La Scalas. Please report back on your impression of that combination.
